I chose the Eiffel Tower because I wanted to learn more about it. It is located in Paris, France and was built by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. The tower was finished on the 30th of March, 1889 and was opened on the 6th of May. Eiffel had a permit for the tower to stand for 20 years, meaning it would have had to be taken down in 1909. Luckily, this command was never made.

I never knew that the Eiffel tower was only supposed to stand for 20 years. That is a very interesting fact.
